Think It's Hard to Lose Weight When You're Older? Here's Some Good News!

Have you gained weight, and think it's because of your age?

And to make things even worse, do you believe it will be really hard to lose it because you're getting older?

There’s an urban myth that as you get older, your metabolism slows down and it’s normal to gain 1 or 2 pounds a year -- and that it is very hard to lose it.

However a recent study at Duke University showed that our metabolism actually stays the same from 20 to 60, and after that, it only goes down at about 1% a year.

There is evidence that it may actually be easier to lose weight after 60!

There's another myth lurking out there, and it's that you can lose extra weight by just exercising more. That isn't true either, You don't need to spend hours at the gym if you want to lose any extra pounds you've put on.

“Exercise for health is super important, but diet is your best tool for weight loss,” said Herman Pontzner, PhD, who led the study and wrote Burn: New Research Blows the Lid Off How We Really Burn Calories, Lose Weight, and Stay Healthy.

So the basics still work, at any age. Don't eat processed food, eat real food (but not too much) and you will see the pounds come off.

And if you think it will be hard to do that, contact me and I will tell you how it can be really easy!
