3 Secrets to Overcome Stress and Anxiety

Stress and anxiety are rampant today, and the cost to our health is enormous.

“Stress kills” isn’t just a phrase - it’s true.

It’s also extremely aging.

But the good news is: you can change that easily. Your body actually knows how to relax and rebalance. You just have to give it the right signals.

Here are 3 simple tools to help calm your body and reset your nervou system—naturally and quickly:

1. Intentional Breathing: Box Breathing is used by the Navy Seals when they go into a challenging situation, and it’s easy.

Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, and hold for 4 before inhaling again. This can bring your nervous system back into balance in just a few minutes.

2. Walk away—literally: When you feel overwhelmed, take a short break from whatever you’re doing. Go outside, move your body, change your view.

A 10-minute walk can do wonders.

3. Tap into your subconscious: Stress often gets “locked in” below the surface. Hypnosis, NLP, and other methods like Tapping (EFT) and Havening can help gently release it, and restore calm from the inside out.

These tools are just the beginning.

I’d be happy to send you one of my most popular hypnosis audios, “Relax and Let Go” Just send a text to (714) 331-6699 with your name and the word RELAX.

Do You Really Need 10,000 Steps a Day? (Science Says No)

We’ve been told for years that 10,000 steps a day is the gold standard for health. But what if you could see major benefits with far fewer steps?

Groundbreaking research published in The Lancet Public Health reveals that walking just 7,000 steps a day may be all you need to lower your risk of chronic disease, boost your mood, and even live longer.

No marathons. No pressure. Just a science-backed way to move more and feel better.

Led by Professor Melody Ding from the University of Sydney, researchers reviewed 57 studies across 35 global populations — more than 250,000 adults in total.

They looked at how daily step counts related to outcomes like heart disease, cancer, diabetes, dementia, depression, and early death.

The results were impressive:

  • 47% lower risk of early death
  • 25% less risk of heart disease
  • 37% lower cancer mortality
  • 38% drop in dementia risk

And… you don’t need to power walk or jog to get these benefits.

Simply move more.

Even adding just 1,000 extra steps per day was linked to noticeable improvements in nearly every category studied.

Forget Perfection — Think Progress

For anyone who’s ever felt overwhelmed by workout goals or thought they needed to train like an athlete to stay healthy, this is great news.

Professor Ding says, “Every little bit of movement adds up.”

While taking more than 7,000 steps can offer additional benefits, the most powerful gains seem to level off around that number — making it a realistic and motivating target for most people.

Why Steps Matter — Especially After 40

Unlike intense workouts, step counts capture both intentional movement and all the little ways we stay active throughout the day — walking the dog, doing errands, taking the stairs.

These “incidental” movements are key for mobility, independence, and overall health, especially as we age.

Interestingly, how fast you walk doesn’t matter as much as simply walking more.

Whether you’re strolling, pacing while on a phone call, walking the dog a little longer, or doing laps around the grocery store — it all counts.

3 Easy Ways to Move More Today

  • Set a reachable goal: If 7,000 steps sounds like a lot, start with your current average and aim to increase by 1,000.
  • Sneak in extra steps: Walk during phone calls, take an extra lap at the store, or choose stairs over elevators.
  • Track your progress — but don’t obsess: Use a pedometer, app, or smartwatch to stay motivated. The goal is consistency and progress, not perfection.

In a sea of complex health advice, this is refreshingly simple:

Walking works.

And 7,000 steps might just be the sweet spot for a longer, healthier life.

Lose Weight by Sleeping Better!

Darren couldn't sleep without sleeping pills and he hated it. After we did hypnosis he slept like a baby - but then the most amazing thing happened!

He started losing weight. He had tried to get 20 pounds off for years, and he would lose it, but he always put it back on, so he'd given up.

But now he had learned how to use the power of his own mind.

And this time he lost the weight and and kept it off.

He started going to the gym regularly, getting fit, having more energy -- and all he'd come to me for was to sleep better!

That's why I love what I do. People come to me for a particular reason like getting rid of anxiety or insomnia, but they get so much more, because they tap into the power that is right inside them.

If that sounds interesting, or you would like a free consultation, just put Power in the comments below or send me a DM. I'd love to talk to you.
